The gas tank will look like this. The knee indents will be a bit of a challenge but this detail is what makes this design.

Below is the tail which is actually the extention of the gas tank , Yeah it's not going to be a traditional cafe style.

Original 1936-47 Harley big twin springer:

What a beauty! It has a 1" stem.

I already received all parts for its full restoration. 

Castings? Yeah still there! But the paint is not in good shape, so i will take care of that next week.

New welder finally arrives :)

It's a water cooled 300amp TIG ;) it should do the work.

With the old springer on,

NOW it has a 36-48 harley big twin springer. I will publish the restoration/installation pictures of the new springer pretty soon.

Oil tank

The oil tank for the Whip is specifically designed for it so it surrounds the frame tube and fills the gap evenly between the rear fender and the engine.
