Norton 16H Front End

This one belongs to the "Redesigning The 1956 Triumph" project. It is a very nice heavy duty pre-war girder with rebound springs that i'm reconditioning. 

The threads are fixed, some rust has been taken care of and new 26 TPI nuts installed. Next i will need to make some friction plates and then it will be totally striped/cleaned and ready for paint.

Not bad,

Revving up to 6800+ in the 4th Gear.

The new rebuild gearbox and the sprocket combination worked well. Honestly, at the end of the video I rolled off the throttle seeing it was still revving up, I figured i had enough for the day..

Final Ratio?

Rebuilding a different ratio gearbox..

Large sprockets are cool, only if you have the hp though..

Now we need to test the bike with the new handlebar design and gears.

What a bummer, we couldn't run because of a clutch issue..

There are two more race weekends this season at El Mirage, we have time to fix the issues and get back on the race course..

2011 Bonneville Speed Week

We had a great week, officially and off the books.. will upload more images and info soon.

Finally ready to hit the Salt Flats..

Just finished working on the bike and will leave within hours..

One week to Speed Week..

And i'm still working on my racing bike.

Still to do;
Electrical & Wiring Parts, number plates, lanyard-type fuel shut off valve, brake lines, install seat.. probably more?
